Privacy notice

What we collect

If you create a GradPad account, we hold:

• your name and email address
• your expected graduation year, university and degree area
• the tracks (Finance, Tech, Engineering, Law) and programme types you choose to follow
• your password, stored hashed by Supabase (our authentication provider) — we never see or store it ourselves
• a record of your consent: the date and which version of this notice you agreed to
• whether you've unsubscribed from the weekly email

If you just browse the site without an account, we collect nothing beyond anonymous page analytics (see below).

Why we use it

To run your account — matching you to relevant programmes and letting you sign in and edit your preferences. And to send the weekly newsletter, which we only do with your consent: you can unsubscribe at any time, either with the link in any email or from My account, without affecting the rest of the site.

We never sell your personal data. If the newsletter ever carries sponsor messages, sponsors only ever see aggregate numbers (e.g. how many subscribers study at a given university) — never your name, email, or any other individual detail.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers, all storing data in the EU (Ireland):

• Supabase — database and login
• Amazon SES — sends the weekly email
• Vercel — hosts the website and provides anonymous page analytics

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you delete your account, which takes effect immediately from My account. An unconfirmed signup (an account whose email was never verified) may be removed automatically after 30 days.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can:

• Access your data — download it from My account
• Correct it — edit your details any time from My account
• Erase it — delete your account from My account, which removes it immediately
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time, without affecting other use of the site
• Port your data to another service in a portable format

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Age

GradPad accounts are for people aged 16 and over.
